About GP Express
If you have a minor illness such as a sore throat or urine infection or need contraception you can get prescription medication without visiting your GP surgery.
Avoid spending hours on the phone or in a GP surgery waiting room.
Every Virtually GP Express pharmacist has been specially trained to diagnose and treat minor illnesses. A GP reviews every treatment plan before your medication is dispensed to you, offering safety and assurance.

How does the Virtually GP Express service work?
Getting started with Virtually GP Express is simple. Just take the following steps:

Click ‘book a consultation’ on your Virtually dashboard to complete a questionnaire on your symptoms. You may walk-in to any GP Express location and ask to be seen face-to-face. You will need to register with Virtually and complete a symptom questionnaire which is reviewed by Virtually’s Duty GP. You will be given a consultation with a pharmacist, GP or another clinician whoever is most clinically appropriate.
Step 3
See the clinical pharmacist face to face, on video or on the phone.
Step 4
Receive your treatment plan from the pharmacist after review by a GP.
Step 5
Leave the pharmacy with your prescription medication.
Walk-in face-to-face consultations
In addition to booked appointments, we also offer walk-ins. See a clinical pharmacist face-to-face for a consultation without needing to book ahead. A Virtually GP will then review the pharmacist’s treatment plan, and issue any appropriate medications.
After your consultation
After you have had your consultation, your Virtually GP Express pharmacist will create a treatment plan and dispense any prescription medication after a GP review.
